Death Records of Bedford County, Tennessee

And in turn, the lower half of Bedford County was cut off to form Lincoln County in 1809. Tennessee did not officially start keeping vital statistics until 1902. This can make finding them difficult. The author has divided this book into two sections. The first section are deaths recorded from 1902-1913 while the second section is devoted to the years 1914-1925. Data to be gleaned from this book are name of deceased, death certificate number, birth date, death date, marital status, mother’s name, father’s name, cause of death, cemetery, location of burial and other tidbits of information.
