Probate Records of South Carolina, Vol. #3: Journal of the Court of Ordinary, 1746-1771.

The author, Brent Holcomb, has abstracted three books that represent a guide to the intestate (and some testate) records of the Colonial and Revolutionary periods of South Carolina. These three volumes cover the entire state, province, or counties not functioning until 1785.  This volume #3 is similar in form to the Journal transcribed in Volume 2 of this series, showing: proving wills, administrations of estates, guardians appointed, and mention of marriage in the back of this volume. This volume covers all of South Carolina and is an invaluable tool for South Carolina research.
