Lincoln County Was created in 1820’s from St. Charles County.  It is located along the Mississippi River just above St. Charles County and is surrounded by Pike, Montgomery and Warren counties.  This book is exactly like the other books that Goodspeed Publishing Company published.  The book is divided into two main sections.  The first is a detailed history of the county while the second covers approx.200 biographical sketches of these earlier settlers.  These biographies were recorded in the 1880’s, which means that one can expect to find family members dating back into the 1700’s.
