Franklin County is located in middle Tennessee and was created in 1807 from Warren and Bedford Counties. It was a major county of migration and is surrounded by the counties of: Bedford, Coffee, Lincoln, Marion, Warren, and the Alabama State line on the South. These abstracts begin with the first recorded records of the county. The Wills & Inventories cover the time frame of 1808-1876. Next, the Land Grants begin in 1801 and continue on through 1822. Following this are the Deeds of the county, starting with Book "B", 1808 and continuing on through Book "O" 1840.
