These newspaper abstracts used to complete this book were compiled from papers on file at the Barbour and Henry Courthouses, the Eufaula Carnegie Library and the Alabama History and Archives.  These marriage and deaths not only mention over 11,000 persons from these two counties, but also throughout Georgia and Alabama with many other references to other states as well, including VA, Tex, SC, NC, Fla, and TN.
