This printing is from the seventh edition which is considered the most authoritative edition due to its references, which came from: family histories and manuscript pedigrees held in both public and private collections.  The reader only needs to prove a marriage to one of these lines to connect themselves a Royal Bloodline.  The Index contains references to approximately 3,000 surnames.
