It is the parent county of Stafford, Prince William, King George, & Fauquier. Many of Westmoreland’s early records are missing especially the marriages which do not start until 1772. Wills are wonderful source for the researcher due to many and variety of family members being mentioned. Many times marriages of various family members can be discovered within a will.
