Biographical Sketches of Loyalists of the American Revolution, Volume #1

By: Lorenzo Sabine, Pub. 1864, reprinted 2023, 622 pages, soft cover, ISBN #978-1-63914-152-4.  This is Volume #1 of a set of books.  The set is divided into three sections.  The first is a historical essay which summarizes the Loyalists during the American Revolution.  The second section comprising the bulk of this two-volume set of books are biographical sketches of these Loyalists.  There are over 2,000 biographical sketches (listed in alphabetical order) which contain references to names of wife and children, along with other family members, date and place of birth and death, occupation, his military service, land confiscation record, designation of banishment or proscribed and many, many other useful items of genealogical data.  The biographical sketches within this volume begin with the letter “A” and continue on through surnames that begin with the letter “K”.
